Abstracto
- The text explores the first trips that Lucía Hiriart de Pinochet made abroad, and the journalistic use that her presence generated. At the same time, it examines the classic ideals of gender that he installed through his speeches and social action. Finally, the text questions the forms of power that the former first lady deployed in the center of the civic-military dictatorship, whose action was classified as a power in the shadows. With journalistic and diplomatic sources, an attempt is made to demonstrate the important symbolic power that it held until the last days.
